The digitization process in steps:

1. Preparing material for scanning (pre-production)
  • Loading film holders, cutting according to scanned frames if necessary – the holder can hold a strip with a maximum of 6 frames of 35mm film or 3 medium format frames.
  • Blowing away dust.
  • Setting parameters for the scanned format in scanning software. (VueScan)
2. Scanning (production)
  • Repeating process of scanning frames (Epson Perfection V850 Pro) to the required format, continuous preparation of holders.
3. Editing (Post-production)
  • Conversion to positive (for negatives).
  • Basic color correction of scanned material, which fades over time and loses color fidelity.
  • (optional) Advanced color adjustments, such as color temperature balance according to the current scene or local toning and contrast.
  • (optional) Retouching of dust, minor scratches, or other imperfections.
  • (optional) Retouching of mechanical damage such as tears, creases, moisture damage, local fading, mold, etc.
  • (optional) Trim edges to format.
4. Export
  • JPG, 3200 DPI, as a link to download in full size
